For all your fishing needs the bronte park general store has been operating in bronte park since the 1950s. Lake st. Clair offers many walking tracks with great bushwalking for daytrippers and hikers alike. Our store is centred in one of the best renowned wild trout fisheries in the southern hemisphere where we are fortunate to have one of the purest and disease free strains of wild brown trout found in the world! from our store to the scenic lake st. Clair national park is a 25 minute drive. We are located 4 kilometers of the lyell highway which connects hobart and with queenstown and strahan on the west coast of tasmania. We are situated in the central highlands of tasmania and approximately 2 hours drive from hobart, devonport and launceston. Lake st. Clair is the end of the famous 65 kilometer long overland track.
