Besides standard pub fare, the menu includes specials such as moroccan lamb tagine and own smoked trout nicoise salad. The private bathrooms blend luxury with utility; soft thick bathrobes provided for guests. Guests have access to a veranda where they can relax and take in views across the town's park. The rooms have been tastefully decorated with older style furniture blended with modern facilities including dvd player, television and bar fridge. The accommodation at the castle has been refurbished. That's well before melbourne was founded. The castle hotel is a large georgian style property, continuously licensed since 1829, making it one of the oldest licensed hotels in australia. Hobart is 1 hour, east coast 1.5 hours and west coast 2.5 hours, depending how often you stop to take photographs.
