Skittleball plains homestead is in tasmania's central highlands, home of wild brown and rainbow trout. The great lake hotel and shop are 10 minutes drive, and bronte park highland village 25 minutes. For the fly tier, there is a dedicated desk with vice and light. All bedding and towels are provided. There are two bedrooms with beds and bunks for up to six adults. There is a refrigerator, wood fire cook-top, gas cook-top, cutlery, crockery, and weber barbeque cater for cooking needs. The kitchen, lounge and dining room are open plan and lead onto a comfortable veranda. Hot and cold running water, indoor toilet and shower. The setting is alpine vegetation with a large flat grassy area surrounding the homestead and alpine eucalypt forest on the hills.inside you have everything you need for a comfortable stay. A track to the lagoon provides vehicle access. It's within two hours drive of hobart and launceston.the homestead is set on a sheltered bank five minutes walk from tailers shore on little pine lagoon. Tasmania has one of the world's last great wild fisheries. Provisions can be purchased from these locations, and meals are available if you don't feel like cooking.
